It's Wonderful to see our Queen visit during Canada's Birthday. Her first stop being Halifax, Nova Scotia. She will travel to many cities in several Provinces. I hope that she and Prince Philip enjoy their stay. God Save The Queen.

Please forgive ...as a person , moving to Canada years ago, I had difficulty remembering the words of our Canadian National Anthem ...I made sure, that I always could read lips , when the anthem was sung ! Different with my Mother tongue anthem : the Netherlands !!...I do feel very Canadian regardless .

Speaking of Calgary... I'm going to be heading out west (for the first time!) this summer an joining some other Type 1s on some hiking adventures. We'll be heading to Lake O'Hara, Lake Louise, Garibaldi and the Juan de Fuca trail. Anyone else interested in joining? Kelly , I am envious with the way to-days weather cooperated for you , compared to May 30 ;however this will not stop us from visiting Calgary again one day, mittens , boots included !

Finished the Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes this morning in Calgary. The weather was beautiful and I can't believe how many turned out for it. Great day!
