Agrred. I really like androids openness and google ability, but IOS really has the businesses writing the apps for it. Possibly its due to the market stance (gogle = free, apple = $$).

I was holding out for a good, light honeycomb tablet. Now that I've gotten an Ipad one will almost surely be released any minute LOL. More likely that there will eventually be compatability with mac than android though I think.

That might be a good reson to go with an android tablet. Possible development for the device? That said, if you grab Dex reports as PDFs you should be able to see those fine on the Ipad2.

I tried to download my Dex info to an ipad at the AT&T store because I wanted it to keep my pump and dexcom info on it for my doctor appointments. We weren't able to download the dexcom program because it wasn't compatible with mac. Maybe someone else had been able to do this, but I couldn't. I didn't buy the Ipad2. I just got a small notebook.

Just got an Ipad2 (finally!) and loving it so far. I'm pretty tech savvy but this is my first apple os. Has anyone transferred files from pc to mac from ezManager or the Dexcom software? I'd like to have my records with me if possible. Dex is coming Wednesday!!!

Thanks everyone! I can finally get rid of the crappy old laptop with the screen partially detached that I was keeping around just for carelink!

Hi Garry. That's what us Mac users had to do prior to MM fixing their code. I used to use Parallels to boot up Windows to upload. Now I don't have to. The USB dongle itself doesn't care which OS the person is using. The issue was all in the web software. All a person needs is the Carelink USB dongle. A person can order one from MM if they want a new one, but the old ones work just fine.

Yeah, there is, but you have to have a certain program, and for computer-illiterates like me, they never work anyway! The new Mac device works like a charm -- it says it isn't guaranteed to work with Firefox, but it's been working perfectly for me. I'm a proponent of making all computers idiot-proof, but it hasn't happened yet!

Actually, MM finally just updated their Carlink software to be compatible with Macs. It had something to do with the 64-bit code that macs use, from what I was told by their software people. If you already have a Carelink USB (those have been out for quite a while now), then you don't have to buy anything. The existing USB dongle works just fine. I just used mine two days ago and mine is among the first batches to come out. So my USB dongle is about 3 years old. Works great!

In the worst case scenario, if you have a gizmo that works exclusively on a PC but you have a Mac, isn't there a way to dual-boot a Mac into Windows and do it anyway?
