I have always been amused how people profess to be "beleivers", and then separate themselves into various churches / denominations. Out of curiosity, what type of church, or denomination, do you attend? What do you particulary like about your church?

As for me, I left the Presbyterian Church (PCA) in 10/06, and now attend a non-denominational church. I thoroughly enjoy my new church, where our worship service is a true celebration of God's grace in our lives.

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father…So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:29-31
Bleh! I lived in tucson for 19 years. When I moved I remember saying I would never live there again. So much for that. Was gone 25 years and now am back to take care of my parents. I love cold weather, rainy weather - the exact opposite of Tucson! BUT, I love my family more. Glad you loved Tucson, I would rather be in Ohio :)
Good morning!!

This is my very first post on this site. I found mention of this site while on the ADA website : www.diabetes.org. I love the idea of this site and I am very proud to add my name to the roster here as a believer in Christ. I attend an Assembly of God church in Syracuse, NY.

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1986 and the "Big D" three months ago. My MS wasn't an earth shattering issue until 1991, when it went out of control. I had lost control of my limbs and was losing my sight. It was at the darkest point that I asked the Lord into my life. He promises us that He will never give us more than we can handle. It is for this reason that I was 75% healthier the next day. He is the reason I live and breathe. I know that diabetes isn't the worst thing that could have happened to me but it keeps me humble in knowing that no matter what I say, do, think or feel, I am still nothing more than a mortal man. Someday, we will all have ALL the answers to all the questions that we have ever had. For now, knowing that He loves me so much that He died on the cross for me, is all that I truly need to know. :-)
Hear Hear Pebbles (reply to your comment on page 2!)....I'm on the same page!!!!
(pardon the pun)
Jeremy, have you never read the scriptures: "Therefore we are surrounded by so great a crowd of witnesses, let us hold fast to our profession." (Hebrews 12:1). We pray to Mary and the saints as we would ask a living person to pray for us. Paul said often 'Brothers, pray for us' and Jesus said to the 'sad'cucees that God is not the God of the dead but of the living. What could be more alive than being in heaven and praying for the rest of us on earth???
I was born and raised in Baptist church..strict rules and everything..when we moved to the states we started attending southern baptist church...I love my church its awesome!!!! We believe that Jesus came on this earth as a baby in Mary's womb that she is a virgin, and that God's coming again 1 day!! Im pretty firm in what I believe also sooo!!
I go to a Southern Baptist too! I love it, but it's not the denomination that I particularly love it's the people and their love for Jesus :)
I was born and raised in the Catholic church. I was born again when I turned 16 and have been in various denominations during my walk with Christ. I was always seeking a church that upheld the Bible as the final authority.
My husband and I were married in a Weslyn Church but soon left after we got a new pastor who was fresh out of seminary and preached anything BUT the Bible. We wound up in a little independant Bible Church, my husband being the deacon later.
After the church decided to build a new building, problems arose. We left seeking a more conservative church. We wound up in a very conservative mennonite church. We appreciated the simplicity of their ways and especially how they upheld the word of God. HOWEVER, there were some strings attached and after 6 years we had to leave. We felt it was becoming more works oriented. We are now in a wonderful church made up of conservative Christians, a lot from Mennonite, Amish and other backgrounds. The youth are wholesome and have a zeal for witnessing and missions. Our 5 children are thriving there. Most of us all Homeschool and share the same burden of raising a Godly seed!

Reformed Born again Christian. I got to a Free Presbyterian Church.

Elim Pentecostal. Just passed my 26th Christian Birthday and can honestly say the teaching is brilliant - challenging, thought and action promoting. I love it! God really is moving in the place!
