Hard to pin it down to one, isn't it? Well...impossible actually! One of my favourites is, "It is finished"...done...does not have to be repeated...He has died once and for always...no more sacrifices required. Then there's "Be still and know that I am God..." ....

Good discussion :) Of course, I didn't pick just one. Here are some of my favorites. I like reading the calls of the prophets in the old testament.

The story of the call of Jeremiah 1:4-10
4 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew [a] you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

6 "Ah, Sovereign LORD," I said, "I do not know how to speak; I am only a child."

7 But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.

9 Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth. 10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant."

The story of the call of Samuel in 1 Samuel 3: 1-10

1 The boy Samuel ministered before the LORD under Eli. In those days the word of the LORD was rare; there were not many visions.

2 One night Eli, whose eyes were becoming so weak that he could barely see, was lying down in his usual place. 3 The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple [a] of the LORD, where the ark of God was. 4 Then the LORD called Samuel.
Samuel answered, "Here I am." 5 And he ran to Eli and said, "Here I am; you called me."
But Eli said, "I did not call; go back and lie down." So he went and lay down.

6 Again the LORD called, "Samuel!" And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, "Here I am; you called me."
"My son," Eli said, "I did not call; go back and lie down."

7 Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD : The word of the LORD had not yet been revealed to him.

8 The LORD called Samuel a third time, and Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, "Here I am; you called me."
Then Eli realized that the LORD was calling the boy. 9 So Eli told Samuel, "Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, 'Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.' " So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

10 The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, "Samuel! Samuel!"
Then Samuel said, "Speak, for your servant is listening."

Micah 6:8

"What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

Mary's song:
Luke 1: 46-55
46And Mary said:
"My soul glorifies the Lord
47and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
49for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
holy is his name.
50His mercy extends to those who fear him,
from generation to generation.
51He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
52He has brought down rulers from their thrones
but has lifted up the humble.
53He has filled the hungry with good things
but has sent the rich away empty.
54He has helped his servant Israel,
remembering to be merciful
55to Abraham and his descendants forever,
even as he said to our fathers."
Oh, I so LOVE the Magnificat..."My soul magnifies the Lord"..."Holy is His Name", and Samuel's "Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening"....SO powerful.
Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it. Psalm 37:5
"Be strong and couragous do not be terrifed nor dismayed for the LORD our GOD is with you wherever you go"

-Joshua 1:9

"I have said all these things to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble: but take heart! I have overcome the world"

John 16:33
One of my absolute favorites is Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Isn't it reassuring to know that we need only to give it over and He'll take care of it...it takes quite a load off!! We THINK we know what's best for us...we know nothing! He knows all, and has the big picture....so why do we keep hanging on?!!
My favorite verses are Mark 11:22-25

22"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. 23"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

So many of the "new Age" religions are based on this verse, All the books on Laws of attraction, Neale Donald Walsch Conversations with God Books and his others.
The teachers books from the movie and book The Secret,
Echart Tolle and all his works..
Have some basis from this quote. It is very powerful!
To know that God has already heard that prayer of yours.Instead of asking, give thanks for what he is about to provide for you in the future because it is already on the way.I truely believe that this is the way it is, have enough faith and it is yours or not yours as the case may be. Maybe you don't understand why your prayers were not fulfilled but even to give thanks for unfulfilled prayers. We might not understand why , but put trust in His divine plan, He knows why.
John 8:58
Jesus replied:
In all truth I tell you,
before Abraham ever was,
I am.

He didn't say "I was"....I AM. There is no past or future to God..."I am"! It's all in the present....NOW!
my favorite verses:matthew7:1-stop judging that you may not be judged///matthew6:33-keep on ,then, seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness and all these other things will be added to you.//34verse:so never be anxious about the next day,for the next day will have its own anxieties, sufficient for each day is its own badness.///luke1:50--his mercy extends to those who fear him from generation to generation.////mark11:22-have faith in GOD, JESUS CHRIST ANSWERED///THANKS FOR THE CHRISTIAN DIABETICS GROUP///////////THIS IS ODESSA,SIGNING OFF FOR THE NITE
Can't you just picture Jesus taking your metre and tossing it...then taking your finger in His hand and kissing it all better?!!!
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Phillipians 4:13

These are two of my favorites.
2 Samuel 22:31- "As for God, His way is perfect."
