TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

The people @ JDRF contacted me about this:
"Do you have any interest in interviewing some of children/families attending Children’s Congress next week? I can put you in touch with our delegates from California our some of our celebrity advocates like Miss Black USA 2007 Kalilah Allen-Harris or cellist Alisa Weilerstein."

It's in reference to the upcoming Children's Congress:

Hello Manny, your web is really getting ahead by leaps and bounds. I have gained so much knowledge from being a 91 computer rookie, that I find out despite my years and wisdom, how little I know and yet to learn. The computer has opened up an opportunity to network being a LION member since 1972. When checking out your website daily, I pay attention to members from areas high in diabetes, but low in diabetes info, I suggest they contact their local LIONS CLUB. They have an excellent prevention and awareness program.with 45.000 clubs in 205 countries, Also in checking profiles, I find out professions and years of living with diabetes, I askthose to share with me their secrets and past them on to those having troule dealing with diabetes ,also suggest they set up support groups within there connections. What do you think of an idea of having a national screening for diabetes on JULY 30 INSULIN APPRECIATION DAY, it might be able to be included in the GUINESS BOOK OF RECORDS or have the worlds largest diabetic fruit cake on NOVEMBER 14 BANTINGS BIRTHDAY. It could be cut up and served to diabetics in homes retirement homes, senior centres, and get service organizations like LIONS, ROTARY,KAIWANES, ETC as sponsoring partners, Just a thought, How can I get in touch with MISS BLACK USA 2007, and is there a video available? or flyers I can use because I am showing our local mosaic population of over 150 nationalities, ROLE MODELS they can relate to. Dont forget to call5 DIABETICS and have them join me in silence, JULY 30 INSULIN APPRECIATION DAY, and give THANKS FOR INSULIN, giving hundreds of millions of US a chance to live a healthy and productive lives TODAY. AMIGOS will be selling BLUE ROSES, that day. Check out www.discoveryofinsulin.com and see this flower ws chosen because of itsmeaning, ATTAINING THE IMPOSSIBLE,our mission and motto. I am a 91 senior that is going to WEAR OUT not RUST OUT, and challenge those younger than me that if I at that age can be a ROLE MODEL younger people can do a better job.
