TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

I need help organizing some of the content currently on our site, so we can better present it to members seeking references about specific types of diabetes or types of information.

For example, we have our Forum, Groups, Videos sections; we have our Links page:
http://tudiabetes.com/notes/Links
(which is fairly massive)

All of them can be searched but they are not conveniently organized.

The goal of this project is to identify items in each of the sections listed above that would fall under the following categories:
* Newly diagnosed
* Type 1 diabetes
* Type 2 diabetes
* Gestational diabetes
* LADA diabetes
* Other types of diabetes
* General diabetes management (things that apply to all types)
* Nutrition and recipes
* News
* Other resources

Depending on availability and preferences, we can break the project down into multiple chunks. Just want to get a feel for how many of you would be able to help with this?

Manny,
I can help for a few hours. I have more time in the afternoon. Just let me know what to do or what area you would like me to work on. Are we also going to do blogs as well or just sticking to the forum, groups, and video sections?

Hello Manny, since I am trying to solve tricks of the trade, of the computer, I find it hard to keep with the various ways of sharing experiences and meeting new contacts.One of the things I am doing is check out new members, EVERYDAY and e-mail those in areas that might need contct with the latest development of diabetes prevention and living healthy with diabetes. My two questions to them is "WHAT DO YOU NEED IN YOUR AREA TO IMPROVE DIABETES CONDITIONS and WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS OF DIABETES" To the newly diagnosed, my suggestions, gleaned from 91 years of wisdom, is, "the person who knows MOST about their diabetes will LIVE the LONGEST, Have a good diabetic team, (diabetic doctor, dietitan, podiatrist, social worker, pharmacist), wear a MEDIC-ALERT bracelet, it SPEAKS for you in case of emergencies, listen to your BODY, it tells you when to eat, snack, EXERCISE, sleep, have a DIABETIC BUDDY, someone you call 5 DIABETICS, EVERYDAY, It serve 2 purposes, let someone know you CARE, and could SAVE A LIFE.. In checking out new members I see I am not too far behind you guys in responding to new members, watch out I maybe running neck and neck with you guys (smile) clarence.haynes@sympatica.ca
