I've pumped on three brands in the last ten years and have never removed my pump for an amusement park ride, Michele. I do, however, make sure it's safely tucked in a pocket on upside down roller coasters. :)

I have had the deltec pump for 3 yrs and never have I had to remove my insulin pump when getting on the rides...so i Dont think you should have to disconnect from it.

HI I have a son who is using the Cozmo , we are thinking of taking him to a theme park but have been told to remove the pump when going on the rides due to the electro magnets so as you all use the same pump I was wondering if any of you have been on such a ride and kept your pump on ? thank you

Hi Roble,

Smiths Medical sent me a list of alternate providers. I purchase supplies for two pumpers in my household and one of us was already using CCS, so we just went with them. The key for me was to find a provider that was preferred by my insurance company. It is, to me, a shame to have to pay more to add another "middleman" to the equation. CCS has done okay. We used to use Liberty, too, but dropped them. They kept holding up my supplies each year because I needed a new letter of medical necessity from my doctor. All of the third-party providers are likely to offer to reorder automatically, and you must be careful of that since the order comes whether you need it or not.

Hi Group,
I am a new member. I have been using cozmo pump over four years. i renewed in November 2008 before i new they were going to discontinue the pump. I also have been getting the pump supplies (Cleo 90, cartriges..) directly from smith medical. My last shipment was last May which I was told that I can't put orders from them anymore. My question is, has anyone being ordering from smith medical directly? If so, have they tried any of the alternate suppliers that smith medical recommended? What is their experience with the alternate suppliers?
thanks,

My daughter is Type 1 and I recently downloaded the software for the cozmo on my computer and I thought I set things up right. However, now in the middle of the night the pump vibrates and says that insulin delivery is stopped. Does anyone know how to turn this feature off?
Troy Comment by Troy on October 20, 2008 at 2:12pm
Well it took 5 months but we started pumping a few hours ago. I just installed the software and found out that the Cozmore extension software is not available for download. You can have it mailed to you, its free, just $10 for shipping and handling. Before I spend the $10 does anyone know if there is someone who has posted the software for download somewhere?

I am sure there will be more questions as we adjust his basal rates the next 48 hours.

I have a question for all pump users.Do any of you have trouble with weight.Since I have started on the pump I am gaining a lot of weight.I figure it is because I am more in control. But I need help to stop this. I am getting fat.I had a hope that I would be able to loose weight but just the opposite is happening Delete Comment
