I read in the manual that the Cozmo (without Cozmonitor attached) is waterproof and it is fine to swim with it.

I have severe doubts and I have never swam or showered with my pump.

What are your experiences? Does anyone swim with his/her Cozmo?

I've never actually swam with my pump, primarily because I've cracked the casing a bit and I'm not sure I trust it. I have managed to get moisture into the Cozmonitor's slot and it gave me error messages for a few hours before settling back down.
One nice thing about the Cozmo is the disconnect feature - I have used that quite a bit with swimming and other activities where I didn't trust myself not to drop it or have it fall and rip my site. I have heard from people who take it in the shower with them sans the Cozmonitor and just put it in the soapdish. I'd be too afraid of dropping it myself, klutz that I am.

I didn't actually fully sumersed it in water, but I did wear it at the beach while in the water, so it got splashed on a bit. No problems after that trip. I also dance quite a bit and I am sweaty girl and that has bothered it either.

BUT... if you have cracks in your pump you should call the company and let them know. The cracks allow moisture into the pump and cause it to malfunction. That is what happened to mine, my buttons would no longer work. They sent me a replacement with no hassle what so ever.

I took mine swimming after inspecting it for cracks and missed one :(

it got wet inside, shut down and would not fire properly, (which is when I found out it was 2 weeks out of warranty.

I have since dried it out and it works fine,(took about 1 week of drying time) but the company sent me a loaner that they want me to use until we get things worked out with my insurance. That all happened back in june.

I will not swim with one again and I have ordered a nice padded cell phone case to carry all future pumps in.

I have talked with the company about the cheezy quality of their cases, but it does not seem like they care about that and will likely continue to include the $.03 piece of leatherette with all future models :)

I wore my pump while swimming once. Nothing got messed up. You just have to make sure there are no cracks and the battery cap is on tight. =]

I have swam in the Gulf of Mexico for hours at a time. The only problem I encountered was twice my site lost its adhesiveness.

I went swimming twice and both times they had to replace my pump. I didn't check for cracks.

I wear my Cozmo wilderness camping/canoeing. It has been completely submerged in swampy water (as have I) for hours at a time. Never a problem.

Both my daughter and I have Cozmos and have gone to waterparks with them with no problems. My daughter has had the touch bolus button fall off after a water excursion, but they replaced it and the pump still worked. I'm gonna really miss my Cozmo in a few years......
