TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

I am running Vista Home Premium SP1 with CoPilot. Periodically (thought it seems more often than not these days) I am getting the following error trying to read my son's Coz. Anyone have an ideas on what is causing this or what to do to resolve?

Pump detected...
Retrieving pump data. Please wait...

An IrDA error has been detected. Please make sure that IrDA is properly installed and operating.

Thanks
Mark

There may be some issues with Vista and the software used by the IRDA dongle. I would update the software for the IRDA (go to the manufacturer's website) and see if that helps; there is also a hidden diagnostic tool on the CD for the Cozmo software that may be able to tell you if that's the problem.

I've given up on getting it to work with my computer - I have a Macbook using XP on Bootcamp and nothing has worked yet to get the dongle to accept the pump data. Thankfully my husband's HP laptop seems to get the job done - I just have to pry him away from it occasionally.

I have searched my software CD's but I can't find this diagnostic tool. I believe it existed at least at some point because I read a blurb about it in a COZMORE FAQ PDF. Could someone be so kind as to Zip and upload the diagnostic/repair utility? I contacted Smith medical last week but haven't heard a response.

Thanks, Mark
