I ride a 1997 Trek 5000. One of the original all carbon fiber frames. Unfortunately it's pretty old school compared to the Madone. I still love it and put well over 1,000 miles on it this year! My new horse will be a 2008 Cannondale Scalpel 4 I can't wait to get it and put it through it's paces!!! How about you, what do you ride?

I ride a carbon 'steel horse' as well...I have an 06 Giant TCR C2...I've put almost 3K miles on mine in the 2 years I've owned mine (bought it spring 07 on sale!). I love it though.
I mostly do triathlons, so I have a fastforward seat post and some aero bars on it as well. I really enjoy it, although I definitely drool over the latest and greatest tri bikes which come out every year...maybe someday! :-)
Hey Bradford, good to see you here. I just found the site and decided to jump in. Maybe I'll see you around before the fall is over. I'm riding the HH100 (100 miler) on Aug 29, and the Oklahoma MS150 in Sept. For now, I'll keep working but am still doing the "t-shirt" rides and enjoying it a lot. Keep riding bro.
I ride a 2007 Specialized Allez made out of Carbon and Aluminum. I have had it for 8 months and have put about 1500 miles on it. Like Bradford I got my bike on sale in February it is a great time to get the OLD models at a great price. This year(2009) I am upgrading my shoes and pedals and looking towards and even better year than last year.

My primary right now (for the winter weather) is a 2008 Giant TCX 0 cyclocross it is less than a year old and all aluminum except for the fork which is carbon. With the weather getting cold I am only riding about 100 miles per week, but in the summer I do closer to 300 per week and split that between my 2007 OCR-2 Giant and my 2008 Trinity Alliance 1 (also a Giant) for triathlons

I am considering buying this bike on Craigs list but I was wondering if anyone else on here would have an opinion on whether or not this is a good deal ???

LMAO
that's a bad ass bike.
I'd buy the bike just because I liked the post. Then I would hire this guy to write all my post on craigslist to sell all my crud. LOL
Most rides I use a 2000 Serotta Rapid Tour...2000 was the last year they made them. Love that bike. It's custom made so what's not to like. For fast rides I have a 2001 Trek 5200 USPS bike, and for off road I have a Trek Fuel 90. LOVE to ride...anytime...any place
Orbea, Orca road bike and Ordu TT bike. 2008 Team Type 1 bikes. Both are fantastic.
My road bike on the worst place to ride it.

Steel horse? Oh my, I'm having a Bon Jovi moment here!
Several bikes - the first ('97 Lemond Zurich), the rain bike ('00 Specialized Allez), the race bike ('06 Giant TCR) the commute bike ('99 Surly Crosscheck) and several project frames (mostly Trek.)
Being asked to choose between them is like being asked to choose between children. And not a bad comparison, since my kids have limited the time & money I can now dedicate to riding. But my health is still good and I wouldn't change anything for the world.
I look forward to seeing everyones' bike pics posted here.
i roll around on a 2009 Fuji Track bike with Velocity Deep V's
