I ride a 1997 Trek 5000. One of the original all carbon fiber frames. Unfortunately it's pretty old school compared to the Madone. I still love it and put well over 1,000 miles on it this year! My new horse will be a 2008 Cannondale Scalpel 4 I can't wait to get it and put it through it's paces!!! How about you, what do you ride?

I ride a 2004 Cannondale R500. Aluminum frame with carbon forks. I've upgraded the handlebars to FSA Alloy Wing (flat tops), and an FSA Gossamer compact crank (34/50). My favorite part though, is the Garmin 305 computer. It does just about everything, including wireless heart rate and cadence. I highly recommend the Garmin GPS line of bike computers, it makes cycling more fun, especially when you overlay your data on Google Earth.

I recently got more serious about cycling and finally gave up my old steel horse, a 30 lb beast - 1984 Univega Ultrasport 12-speed. Shift levers and all, but a very reliable and sturdy road bike. I still have it, but now ride a aluminum frame with (carbon fork & seat post) 2007 Fuji Roubaix with all new full Ultegra. Needless to say, my avg mph improved substantially. Losing 10 lbs of body weight helped too. I can now routinely complete my favorite 35 mile ride at between 19.5 and 20 mph. I've put 2000+ miles on this thing since March...makes riding a pleasure. Not sure what the next step will be.....for now I'm happy. At 56 yrs old, I may do some Masters category racing but we'll see. Next bike will be determined by cycling goals. The main thing is to keep riding, even if it's a romp in the rain on my old Trek singletrack mountain bike!

As usual, my wife and I ride the UN-usual. Our steeds are folding, recumbent small wheel bikes called Sat-R-Days, made by the folks at Bike Friday.

Yes, they are pretty heavy (around 37 lbs), but I can pedal for lots of time without messing up my back - plus, they fit into the boat!

Fair Winds,
Mike

I've got a 2003 K2 that has well over 5000 miles on there. It's been through 5 Ride to Cure diabetes century rides including 3 in Death Valley! My poor girl has been gaining dust since I've back in school. So sad.

Go Trek! I got a Trek 2.3 last January, and I love it. Aluminum frame, carbon stays and fork. I topped 2500 miles on it in Death Valley last month. I have an aluminum Specialized Podium cyclocross bike for nasty winter rides. I have an all steel Redline 925 to go get groceries. And I have a 1970 Peugot Grand Champion.

I think Cannondale is pretty sweet. I had an M2000 years ago. It's simply amazing how much bike you can get for your dollar now. Or rather, how much fun you can get for your dollar.

My dream bike is a titanium Moots road bike - the Vamoots model.

I've got a couple of toys, but you can never have enough bikes!

On road I ride a Trek 4.7 and off road I ride a Scott Spark, getting the upgrade bug again though, quite fancy a nice Pinarello for next summer.
