Hello Ladies! I hope everyone is doing so very well! Its been a long time! I am on my second round of clomid doing 100mg on CD 5-9. I have an ultrasound on Thursday afternoon just to check my ovaries to make sure they are cyst free but I am hoping they can tell me if I have any follicles as it will be CD16...Hoping for some good news in the next few cycles = )
It's good to see an update from you Rachel!
Argh, I'm so frustrated for you that you still don't have answers, but I hope that you get some good news (or at least helpful info) at your appointment in December. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! :)
I'd love to hear how everyone else is doing as well! I can't believe the holiday season is already around the corner. :S
Comment by Rachel on November 15, 2012 at 8:41am Hi all
been a crazy few months, and still no word as to whether we are able to try without the use of a surrogate carrier. We SHOULD (although there are never any guarantees are there?) know on December 20. Hopefully, good news for Christmas this year.
How is everyone else doing? There are SO many new people here, I would love to hear about you!
It has been so quiet here! I hope you are all having a great summer. :)
mhynes congrats to you and your family!!! I could not be any more happy for you all. So glad to hear you and baby are healthy and happy = )
That is such great news! Congratulations mommy, daddy, and baby!
Comment by mhynes on June 16, 2012 at 6:27am Oh my goodness! I just counted back and by my calculation, mhynes was due sometime this past week (if she didn't deliver early)!
Thoughts and prayers are with you! x x x
As for everyone else, I hope you are all well!
mhynes: I'm not sure how many weeks you are now... any news yet? :)
From Jackie Mc:
Hi Everyone,
I am new to the group and hoping for a bit of info. My husband and I have been trying for years to get pregnant. I finally got pregnant last year but had a miscarriage at 9 weeks. Once we were able to start trying again, we started on Clomid. All of my progesterone tests have come back with a good number, but after 4 cycles, I am still not pregnant. We are now going to start with IUI. Has anyone been through this? I want to make sure that this is my best option. I researched success rates for women my age (I am 42) and they do not seem that high. Any info I could get would be great! Thanks!
Hi Jackie, we didn't try IUI, we just went straight to IVF. We did discuss IUI with our doctor, but chose to do IVF because it had better chances of working (however, unfortunately it didn't). Of course though, the expense for IVF vs IUI is much higher.
I think the chances of success with IUI all depend on your circumstance. If you don't have blocked tubes and your husband's sperm are of good quality, then you should have a decent chance.
I'm not sure if I helped at all, but if you do decide to proceed with IUI good luck and if you don't mind sharing, please keep us updated on your progress!
