Anyone having trouble. My install reads my 7+ but will not read my G4. Also, DiaSend reads the G4 on the same machine. Microsoft .NET framework is installed and enabled both the 4.x and the 3.x versions.
Ideas???

Permalink Reply by Beth on November 9, 2012 at 8:15am I tried last night and couldn't get Studio to notice the G4 either (but I don't have a 7+ to try it with). I was running XP virtually on my Macbook, so I figured it was some problem with not running windows natively. I haven't seen any documentation about a driver for the G4.
I tried last night as well and got it to work after following the driver install process three times. Doing nothing differently, after the third time it just worked. I'm also running Windows XP on an iMac.
I was prompted for the driver install whenever Windows recognized that I had plugged in the receiver via USB. It may prompt for the driver install each time, I'm not sure...
Permalink Reply by Seang on November 12, 2012 at 4:25pm I ran into the g4 being detected as an "Unknown Device", to fix it turn the G4 off & on.
edit: cgm data is greyed out on diasend although the g4 upload completed.
Permalink Reply by Unknown Diabetic on November 19, 2012 at 10:17am Did you do the upgrade on Diasend? After I did the upgrade this weekend I can still download the 7+ but there is no information to review. I am logged in as international. Dexcom needs to get there act together so we can use it with a Mac. Dexcom isn't doing me much good if I can't review the information.

Permalink Reply by Hank on December 13, 2012 at 8:53am Just got off the phone with Dexcom and they tell me it'll be a few more weeks (2+) before the G4 can work with Windows 8.
I think the Dexcom folks have a great product but their software support continues to be a major drawback.

My Windows 7 PC died last week and I only have Macs at work.
Since I just started on a pump and really want my nurse to see my G4 data, I went and bought a new PC this past weekend (because my phone call with her is tomorrow morning).
Of course all the new PCs are pre-loaded with Windows 8. As much as I tried to downgrade to Windows 7 (for sanity reasons) it wasn't possible without voiding the warranty of my new computer.
Oh well "I'll just suck it up", but I didn't think for a second that the Dexcom Studio Software doesn't work with Windows 8... until I tried connecting my receiver just now and when it didn't work I finally saw this:

Honestly, being able to send my G4 data to my nurse was the main reason I bought this PC so quickly :-(
Permalink Reply by mrdeshapiro on January 8, 2013 at 7:08am g4 is kind of useless without the software working. I hope they get the windows 8 version working soon.
