So, I got an error one this morning.. have had sensor in 6 days. Last one lasted 3 weeks. Didn't want to give up. Tried shut down, pause and restart x 2. Still Error 1. Decided I had nothing to lose by stopping and restarting the sensor.... and I'm back up and running. Don't know if this will ever work again..... but i am too cheap not to try. Will let you know. Happy for now. :)

I don't know what that error is, but (for future reference) Dexcom is pretty good about sending out replacement sensors if one dies before it should. Glad this one seems to be working for you!

I have done things like that also. One time after calling tech support, they told me to replace it and that they would send a replacement. I tried stopping and starting again (had nothing to lose) and it worked again for three days. Given the cost of the sensors, when it appears hopeless......try anything and everything.

The sensors are only rated to last a week. I too try to get as long as I can out of them but they seem to last differing amounts of time. Usually I get 2+ weeks before they get unreliable. I usually stop and restart a sensor to coax it into extending it's life.
