Well, here's a new one. I got the "System Check Passed" alert today when my g4 woke up from a dead battery. (Actually, it kept giving me the passed alert until it had juiced up a bit). I found the alert on page 148 of the manual, but have no idea what it is for. Any ideas?
I believe it means that there was some sort of error which initiated the Dex to run system test and now all is well.
From page 148 of the manual: "There was a system error and the receiver fixed it." There probably is a software sub-routine once the battery reaches a low threshold. Reaching that low battery state sets a flag that needs to be cleared once you plug in again. Bottom line: it faulted, then fixed itself.
thanks, all! Seems to be working just fine once the battery was recharged :)
I recently got the same message on my Dexcom G4, which I've been using since Dec 2012. I did not have a dead battery (receiver).
But in the last month I have noticed more ???, especially after 7 days. Think it could be my 10 month old transmitter, although the settings show its battery is ok.
I also get more frequent out of range, when 10-12 ft away, within my bedroom, for example, that previously always was within range. So I'm thinking it's time for a new transmitter.
