You shave the area for the sensor?
Men, you shave your skin where you place the sensor?
Thanks Gerrit.

Oh yes, I do shave, including a larger area around the oval tape of the sensor, so I can also put a large Tegaderm 1626W patch (size is 4" x 4.75" or 10cm x 12cm) which keeps the sensor in place given the many showers I take as I practice quite a bit of sport.

Ciao, Luca
Yes. The removal of the dead skin and the resulting smooth surface facilitates better adhesion. My dex typically stays on for 2 weeks without the help of any additional tape or glue.
Sure do! Only use my belly so shave as needed. Also get nearly 2 weeks out of a sensor without additional tape or glue
Yes. It helps tape adhere better, and removal avoids pain from "ripping out hair".

BUT: Shavers are biologically nasty, unless you use a completely fresh one each time. I use CHG afterwards.
I started doing this a few sensors ago to ease the removal process. I don't know if this is just a coincidence but I'm currently on day 29 and haven't had to add any tape. The edges are just now starting to peel.
