For users of a Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring ("CGM") device

Just as a reminder with the recent release of the new Dexcom G4 to the US market--it is NOT okay to post about previous models or older sensors as being 'for sale' on this site.

It is a violation of the Terms of Use because it is a prescription device, and any such efforts will unfortunately be removed.

We encourage you to donate supplies to non-profits such as the Charles Ray III Diabetes Association (http://www.cr3diabetes.org), which accepts unexpired glucometer and insulin pump supplies, or alternatively you may talk to your physician's office or other local medical group to discuss donating them to those in need of assistance.

Thank you all for kindly refraining from this activity.

Flexfix is best obtained online, ADW, Allegro Medical, or even Amazon....
ADW seems to be the cheapest so far, but Allegro is always offering some kind of promotion monthly

Just ordered 2 of the flexfit tape from AmericanDiabetes . I hate that they made me do the registration. Anyway do you friends put the tape over the sensor or over the sensor tape?

Some people do put the flexifix over the sensor. I put it only over the sensor tape. Don't like taking the sticky stuff off the sensor!

Yoreeeka, thanks for the Flexfix tape advice. I have been searching for a tape to put over the sensor kj

Just replaced a sensor after 30 days on my 5 yr old. That's our best yet by far. (10ish days is more typical for us.)

Angela, you can get the flexifix tape at American Diabetes. Most people prefer the 4 inch but I like the 2 inch better, plus it is cheaper.

where do you get opsite flexfix at

I use opsite flexifix. It stays stuck forever. The drawback is that it gets filthy around the edges. Lucky I'm the only one who has to see it LOL

I get 14 days using tape I could get more but the tape starts giving me an irritating itch that drives me crazy.
@ ed.conlin1: I use uni-solve to remove and clean the area from the crazy adhesive.

I never get much beyond 10 days before it falls off or gives wonky readings, no matter how much tape I put on. I think it's just from lots of long hot days of cycling. I rode 158 miles over 12 hours yesterday on a new sensor that was working well all day.
