For users of a Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring ("CGM") device
Just as a reminder with the recent release of the new Dexcom G4 to the US market--it is NOT okay to post about previous models or older sensors as being 'for sale' on this site.
It is a violation of the Terms of Use because it is a prescription device, and any such efforts will unfortunately be removed.
We encourage you to donate supplies to non-profits such as the Charles Ray III Diabetes Association (http://www.cr3diabetes.org), which accepts unexpired glucometer and insulin pump supplies, or alternatively you may talk to your physician's office or other local medical group to discuss donating them to those in need of assistance.
Thank you all for kindly refraining from this activity.

Comment by Cathy on January 1, 2013 at 5:39pm Thank-you TuDiabetes for telling us about the www.cr3diabetes.org site. I have donated my old Accu-Check meter and two new without batteries. I am anxious to hear back from them. I am also looking for a method to find Dexcom 7 sensors This looks like a good chanel of exchange.
Comment by George Davis on December 11, 2012 at 9:03pm Matt, check out this video to see a sensor installation on the arm:

Comment by Natalie ._c- on December 10, 2012 at 7:42pm Matt, someone mentioned the Diasend program on another discussion. You can google it, and then apparently, you can sign up as an international user, because they don't actually have the program in the US due to FDA hangups. I'm intending to try it as soon as I get my G4.
Comment by MattVT on December 10, 2012 at 4:29pm I have my wife put my sensor on my arm for me cause i cant seem to figure out how to do it myself with one hand. Is there something i am missing?
Comment by MattVT on December 10, 2012 at 4:23pm Switched over a couple of weeks ago from the seven to the GEN4. It is fantastic. Has anybody been successful with running the data on a Mac?
Comment by Clare on December 2, 2012 at 4:16pm Yay good for you, I got my G4 on 11/12 and to say it is life altering would be an understatement. It is my first CGM, actually it is my first piece of D technology besides my glucometers. I don't hate the case, it is fine on my belt when I wear one, or I can just put the receiver in my pocket if I am not wearing a belt
Comment by gbbassethound on December 2, 2012 at 4:00pm Whooo Hoooo! My Dexcom G4 was shipped yesterday! I'm so excited, this will be my first CGM. Last week I received my new Tandem T:Slim pump (LOVE it). What a great Christmas so far! :-) Also, I'm sure I'll hate the case. LOL
Comment by DiabeticRadio.com on December 2, 2012 at 8:28am I think most of these cases (including my animas) are so ugly. I don't use the cases to be honest. They are more of an annoyance, then a benefit. Besides, I have my cellphone and pump hooked to my waist, I don't need any more devices than that. I've always put my dexcom in my pocket anywayz.. LOL.
Comment by Clare on December 1, 2012 at 4:00pm I'm with you on the case Michael, but I have not had a 7+ case to compare it to. It is fine on my belt loop and keeps the receiver in place so it's all good in my book.
Comment by Michael McClure on December 1, 2012 at 3:02pm I'm honestly surprised at the amount of vitiol directed at the case. I find it MUCH easier to deal with than the 7+ case, and it's more solid. It's way better all around for me. Po-TA-to, po-TAH-to, I guess.
