Good goals Jerry, it will all fall into place in time.
The pic is one of the world famous Aussie "Darwin Stubbie"

Hi Jackie, Jerry, welcome to the bar, and greetings from Australia the land of copious amounts of the golden fluid, an inspiration to us all, current, former and reforming drinkers !
Jerry not sure what is on the metformin bottle , being a T1 (14 months) I'm lucky in a way that I don't have any additional requirements except for the insulin thing.
Have found that moderate dosage of red wine doesn't affect bs levels and about to try the amber fluid once again with hopefully the same outcome.
Moderation would probably be the key word.

Wow, am I glad I found this group. Im a newly diagnosed type 2, and an avid beer drinker (just got a new half barrel of Jubiale the day before the bad news). I would like to understand my options here, specifically how serious that no drinking sticker is on the metformin bottle :(

Can I just say that I always wake up with perfect blood sugars after a night of drinking? My liver gets preoccupied with booze and can't do the dawn phenomenon. It rules.

I hope for a good game. As a Seahawks fan I can't root for the "Stealers."
I think I'll kick back with snakcs and a few Bridgeports and Mirror Ponds at my brother-in-law's house, with one eye on the game and the other on my bg level.
Cheers!

It's Super Bowl Sunday and I for one plan on having wings and beer at my super bowl party. The party will consist of my wife,me,wings, and beer!! I like small low key parties. I keep several kinds of beer in my fridge, so it boils down to which one to savor first. They are all good.
I think that we will root for the Cards even though they beat the snot out of the Carolina Panthers in the playoffs. I am impressed with Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgeralds' playing. It should be a good game. Cheers! Sam

I'm so happy to see the membership here growing. This group still outnumbers the members of "Vegetarian-Diabetics," thank goodness.

When I'm being good I'll drink light beer (3.5 grams carbs & 98 calories) but when I'm bad it's "Black and Tan" for me!
