Permalink Reply by Arcanun on December 10, 2010 at 11:40am Hi ladies, I also have this problem. I use Eucerin and pure Shea Butter. I use Dove or Oil of Olay moisturizing body wash. Products with shea butter in them has been diluted. I buy it right out of the nut. You can find pure shea butter in stores that cater specifically to African Americans. Some people put it in the containers you buy potato salad in at the deli. I washed out and dried a Eucerine container and put it in that with a label. Note: Shea butter in its natural form is very oily so you only need a little bit. It will also melt in warm temperatures. If this happens, put it in the fridge until it hardens. I put it on my feet with a pair of socks. Keeps your feet smooth and prevents drying and cracking. Shea butter comes in a light caramel color and a white color. The lighter color is more light weight but does the same thing. If you don't like the smell, you can find it whipped with essential oil added. This will still work. I have a friend who whips it and adds what ever fragrance I want. I use it all over my body including my hair. It is also good for causing scars to fade eczema and psoriasis, sunburn and diaper rash. Since it is made from a nut and you are allergic to nuts it could cause a reaction. I have a nut allergy but I have become used to the product (I have been using it long before I developed the nut allergy).
Be very careful ordering it on line because it may NOT be real shea butter or it could be so diluted it won’t be useful to you.
