All I can say is you have a wonderful Husband and Friend. I hope you had a lovely dinner, great conversation and left hand in hand, I hope you feel better.

I can be an emotional mess too... I'm not sure that it's diabetes or anything else... but there are times where I am on the verge of tears all day-- for no good reason!

Sounds like you have a GREAT partner to walk with you :) Thanks something to smile about!

I always remind myself that insulin is a hormone and we have a hormonal imbalance. I'm no doctor but I do think that there is a connection.

OMG - it's so nice to see someone else is going thru' what I'm starting tho' mine is due to hitting menopause, having my period / mood swings was never a problem for me - but now I feel for the women who used to take time off work, or threaten to chop their husbands heads off due to the mood swing (mine is a sweetie like yours as well - tho' I think the other day he was thinking about getting me a straight jacket - and I thought the same as well - tho' it would be fushia pink with lime green polka dots on it). For me now as well, I'm having probs keeping my BGs up - used to be the reverse where I'd have to give more insulin. Darn hormones! I'm like that a week before my period when my blood sugars are high. Then when I'm on my period, I'm a mess because my blood sugars are all over the place ranging low to high and back to low. My diabetes doc tells me it's ok for me, being in a mess during the week and before my period. All diabetic women go through this... My family just grin and bear it during this time. I hope your supper with your husband was wondful! Sometimes that is the best thing to do when you are a mess is to go out to eat with your husband or have a relaxing massage!

I'm the same mess. I have days when I can't stand to be in my own head. Happy ,sad, scared, depressed all in the same day. A good long run used to be my cure all but I just started on omnipod and now I'm seriously not even comfortable leaving the house forget about a long run. My periods are wacked because I'm perimenopausel and I feel like I'm spending way too much time thinking about BG and feeling like S***. Is it going to get better? I to have a fab husband and try to act normal around my kids but I am a shell of the woman I used to be. For now yoga and meditation and a daily walk with the dogs seems to help a little. A new pair of shoes doesn't hurt either.

OK, I'm starting menopause - two months without a period, yeah! My yardstick in the past for the PMS crazy scale was my friend Mariellen, who once attempted to quit smoking at work during a pms day. Within one 15 min. period she flipped a desk and pulled a steel door off it's hinges just prior to sitting on the floor and bawling. Incredible hulk had nothing on her...
Your sweet husband probably has a great survival instinct (hee).
Um, about the Acne - my granny had acne outbreaks into her late 60's - we have better ways to treat those outbreaks now but don't count on menopause to stop them. Sorry that's awful I know, but be prepaired. Seriously, some of these hormonal mood swings can be relived by mild antidepressant therapy - will power against chemical imbalance is a struggle - if it takes away from your normal happy self it's time to consider treatment.
