I can't stop laughing at everyone thinking you had a gun!
Hi Amy! I am on the pump and I clipped it to my bra for the wedding and used a pretty clutch purse to carry my testing supplies and glucose tabs with me. My mom held onto it during the ceremony and I kept it with me during our reception. I did not get low or high (by the grace of God!!!) I was worried about both but I paid close attention to my Dexcom CGM to make sure neither happened.
But my honeymoon that was a whole other story!!! We were in Hawaii and I was eating foods that I was not familar with the carb counts and off my pump while we were in the water for hours on end, so I had lots of highs! At our luau right after we finished eating and the lights were dimming for the show I turned in my chair to watch and my infusion set was pulled out as it rubbed on the arm of the chair. So off to the restroom I went to do an infusion change while all the ladies walking in and out were staring at me as if I was doing drugs in there! I was just thankful I had brought an extra one with me! But I was ssoooo frustrated to miss out on part of the show because of that!
