If you are like me, I love pasta, and I mean love it. But as a typical Type2 it is poison to my levels. While at the Quacks office a few weeks ago I was flipping through a mag, and saw a advertisement for a pasta called Dreamfields. They said that it had lower digestible carbs that the others (only 5), so I thought I would go on the hunt for the mystical 65% lower glycemic index fiber layden fair. Well a visit to their web site showed that in my area (WV) Krogers keeps it and no one else. I had to have some!!!! I picked up the spaghetti and gave it a try along with a tomato sauce that looked good with lower sugar and carbs as well. It was FANTASTIC!!!! I had it along with a small salad and a very thin slice of French bread. That night at bed time my BG level was below 150, and the next morning (it usually takes pasta 12-16hrs to hit me) my BG level was only at 119.......happy day!!!!!!

I'm glad it works for you. It doesn't work for everyone.

I apologize for offending. I did not mean to. Sometimes, I fail to say enough to present a clear meaning. I'm sorry.

Appology accepted, I forget that sometimes meanings get totally confusing when one reads them as they are written and not as the writer means for them to be read.

I've had really good luck with Tofu Shiritake noodles. I usually find them in the refrigerated section by the produce. A bag of them is around 5-10 carbs. The texture is a little funky when you first try them, but I can get used to any "pasta" that doesn't throw off my blood sugar like crazy!

I know what ya mean Natasha, the simple mention of the word pasta runs mine up. You should try thie Dreamfields stuff, taste good, can't tell it from regular pasta and does not run mine up. I'll check out the ones you talk about. Thanks for the info

I love the Dreamfield pasta as well. You can get a newsletter from them that includes coupons and recipes. mmmm good stuff
