Hi - I'm Type II and following a low carb diet. Any tips on what type of milk to have and why. I was using skim milk but was informed that the lactose content was greater than that in regular milk. Thanks, Stephanie

I use soy milk most of the time. If I want a more creamy texture for adding to tea or coffe or something that is better w/ creamy texture, I use almond milk.
I use Hood Calorie Countdown (not the Fat Free version) - It's only 3 g carb in 8 oz and it's very rich and smooth; also comes in chocolate. Love it for my protein drinks. It's now available almost everywhere - even WalMart.
I can't use soy milk - not good for folks with hypothyroidism
Hi. I use Blue Diamond Almond milk...Vanilla (unsweetened) or Original. i have it with my cereal and have been trending "flatline" on my CGM. This has been a pleasant side affect.

there's unsweetened almond, rice, oat, an soy milk.
Regular milk caused too much of a spike for me so I use unsweetened almond milk
