Comment by Dee on March 13, 2012 at 5:09pm Hi Nurse NZ - I'm not on the west coast - but went down there over the summer. What part of the Coast are you at?
HI EVERYONE, many of you may have seen the todays release by PHARMAC proposing the funding of only one BG test strip in NZ. I personal thinks its outrages and when i read the proposal today (pharmac.govt.nz) i felt physically sick and honestly shed a couple of tears. The thing is, i dont care which machine's strips they want to fund, the fact is we no longer have a choice.... this is a consultation period and they are expecting feedback (join on FB - stop pharmac taking away the choices of people with diabetes). Im all for saving money but we PWD never chose to get diabetes and the simple little things like 'which machine i use' i hold very dear to life.... sad hey!
