Jane, I am always terrified with having to use Glucagon con my husband, I don't know I fear I will not be fast, or something. That is a good thing you knew exactly what to do!

Day 45.jpg

and here is another one...
This is how some people learned to give insulin injections. We didn't though. My husband and I had to give each other saline shots at the hospital, before they would release our daughter.

OH, that one with a needle with a drop of insulin on the end and vial of Humalog with the PURPLE cap in the background reminds me when I took a BASAL size dose of Humalog by mistake. I realized it as soon as I went to lay the needle down on the nightstand what I had just done. I wrote down on a card what I took, my normal doses, carb ratios etc and what I ingested and when, (to counter the humalog over-dose). I then called a friend to tell him what I did and to call me back in 2hrs, and If I did not answer my cell to just call 911.

I was 1200 miles from home. When I got back home I requessted a switch to Humalog pens so I would not make THAT mistake again....................lol
