TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Ok people we need to get some activity goin here on our great Big Texas site! Lets show em just how big and friendly this state is! I guess we could start about the things we all love here inTexas and maybe plan on some meet-ups or what ever!.. I know we have the San Antonio thing..but what about
a little cozier meeting with people in our group?,,,And please forgive all my spelling mistakes that never was a good subject with me,,=o)

I love the wide open spaces
the stars at night
The friendliness of just about everybody in the state
The fact that you can take a vacation in your own state,,see something you have never seen,,,as travel as far as you would if you had of went to another state!
Our beautiful lakes rivers and wildlife(excluding the rattlers!)

Hello everyone, i'm currently living in providence village which is between Mckinney and Denton. i'm a new england transplant (Pa); followed my family down here, after being asked to move down here for the last ten years. it's a great state and after being here a year its been really nice, weather wise. do to work, havent been out of the general area much, but hopefully this will change in the near future

I chose to move to Texas because of the beautiful environment in Kerrivlle. I loved seeing all of the stars at night, watching the deer walk the streets at night or visit the nearby park durning the day. At first, the tremendous thunderstorms frightened me, but now that I'm in Waco, I now miss all those thunderstorms.

The people are a lot more friendly here than in California. In California, you will get shot for no reason at all. Here in Texas, they have a reason to shoot you. And, they will tell you why you're being shot as well as sayin' "So long, pardner" as you die. (Of course, I'm joking at that last statement!)

Even in the major cities like Houston or DFW, there is a lot more trees and natural things than in California.
