Hi, I'm in North Bay Ontario. If there is anyone here from Northern Ontario, I just started a group to address specific issues in the north (specifically the lack of patient support and resources in the north).

I am a 92 computer rookie who was clinically dead, in 1977 with a BG of 880 and have teamed up with J.C.CORMIER, a diabetic who lives in MISSAUSAGA, and we are starting a BLUE ROSE DIABETES FOUNDATION, and our website will be in operation in the new year.We chose the BLUE ROSE because of its meaning, 'ATTAINING THE IMPOSSIBLE' our mission and motto, if interested contact clarence.haynes@sympatico.ca AMIGO

I've heard of Dreamfields pasta and would love to try it too, but I'd have to order it online, since there isn't any supplier in my area. Let me know how it works out for you .

I did find a Toronto based supplier that you could try, here's their link .. .
http://www6.netrition.com/dreamfields_pasta_page.html

Please give us a report on it when you have tried it a few times. I'd be interested to know how much it affects your blood sugar, and does it taste good?

Also let us know which supplier you went with and how it worked out.

Since INSULIN was discovered, here, in TORONTO, JULY 30 1921, I feel , we ONTARIONS, should spearhead a proclamation to declare that this date, annually, should be called INSULIN APPRECIATION DAY. Since 1984,my former partner,SONNEE COHEN and myself , along with the BANTING FAMILY, have relentally pushed to encourage,insulin-dependent diabetics, worldwide, who TODAY is enjoying a healthy lifestyle, because of BANTING & BEST discovery, YESTERDAY, should have a moment of silence and give THANKS,for this Canadian 'miracle'. This day could be a presentation of ROLE MODELS, showing the POSITIVE side to the newly-diagnosed that diabetes. Having diabettes is a hallenge, a burden, a transformation , and a blessing. So let's accept it as a gracious gift and let it teach us to live our years well and being role models. To get the ball rolling, use the AMIGO,K.I.T.networking tool, call 5 of your diabeti friends DAILY to compare concerns and learn from each other and let them know,SOMEONE CARES, and tell them to call 5 diabetics,EVERY DAY. Play your cards right and this could parlay into the largest, KEEP IN TOUCH,networking circle of diabetics, worldwide. clarence.haynes@sympatico.ca

I hope I am not the 'youngest' but at 91, insulin-dependent since 1978,a lot of water has rushed under the bridge of lifeI live in INSULIN CITY,TORONTO,have worked closely with the BANTING family since.Check out www.restorethebantinghomestead.com. What do you think of an the idea of small groups seniors and youths, teamed together, it would be a tremendous opportunity with POSITIVE results, a bonding and learning and sharing. It would be a real challenge to helpstem the tide of an increasing epidemic that is covering the world. Dr.Martin Luther Ling,Jr said as long as you BELEIVE, you will achieve AMIGO clarence.haynes@sympatico.ca
