Hi All-
I just started a blog involving a life with type 1 diabetes as an artist and mother.
Looking to start a community!

Help! I need materials! I recycle the tops of Champagne and Sparkling wine. These are called "Capelet de Muselet" in French. They are the discarded tops consisting of wire baskets with the metal cap and cork intact.

I create very desirable trinkets from these items.
All of them are numbered, signed and dated.

I used to have better access to these when I was able to work in the fine dining industry, now I'm saddled with a serious lower back condition and no longer work in that field.

If you happen to be a in a position that has easy access to these e.g. a bartender, own or work for a wedding and or catering service, own or work in a winery that produces (Chamapagne) Sparkling wine, and any other (preferably 20 or more i.e. bulk as many as possible!) sources I may have missed.... please contact me and I will trade you a beautiful set of three of my bistro table and chair sets, all 100% recycled materials are used.

Years ago I won an award for these table and chair sets in the Neutrogena National Recycled Materials traveling art show for "Best Miniature".

The entire set consists of a few other discarded items, those are easy for me to access, the wire basket, metal cap & cork part is what I need to continue making these (and I'm almost out of them!) Hence, my reason for the shout out for more!

These table and chair sets sell for $100 and up. I use that money to pay for medical insurance and supplies (I hope this is NOT considered spam! I only wish to explain the value and importance off acquiring these to help me create this art and pay my medical expenses.)

In addition, I plan to write to major wineries and ask for these (I will need help with the final letter, so far rick p has offered to help, Thx rick!)

I also plan to tie them to a diabetes awareness whenever possible.

I plan to post a photo of one of these bistro sets in the near-ish future...in the meantime, please email or message me if you happen to have access to these.

Thank You! Mr Silver ;)

Hi there everyone, I haven't posted in a while, because there doesn't seem to be much activity, so here's a few of my recent pieces of art, I'm a pastel artist, at the moment only doing it on an amateur basis, in time I want to take it up professionally and work for myself... :)

Harry Callahan (Dirty Harry) 1971... played by non other than 'Clint Eastwood', used three pastel pencil colours light grey, dark grey (almost black) and white... on 'Canson smooth Bristol paper'... I will be doing more black and white drawings in the future, especially for old film stars, this was a new experience as I haven't done a toned drawing for ages...

This is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

come on people lets see some art!!

I'm looking for a volunteer to quickly develop a rube goldberg kind of drawing. Something that shows how a CGM alarm on a child's nightstand might wake a sleeping parent in another room.

Using pulley, fans, wires, loudspeakers, magnifying glasses, something on wheels would all be very RG-like. Anyone like to try and mock this up? It's for a presentation I need to give in 10 days time. And I would give attribution.

I just put a photo of my latest painting in my photo album on tu diabetes. I have had a long time with a painting block due to a parathyroid problem, but seem to have re-discovered my creativity lately.

HI Linda...
Thank You for the compliment.on my charcoal.
. And Chagall is an artist Right?...I will have to look him up.
Art is such a comfort, and really helps you
to process or it helps to take you away into another realm.

Cynthia....your charcoal is so evocative...you truly felt the essence of the medium.

I like your lion...there's a spirit of Chagall there :)

Hey binky....there's SO much that can be rendered with recyclables!!!! Going out to the store is....well TOO easy!
