I went to one of the art stores in the city today, for a fine tip white marker. I'm designing an card for our school's Christmas staff party invitation. A watercolour scene of a snowman against black with a fine snow coming down, and in a font similar to "Vivaldi" penning "You are invited to..." The inside is done in a similar type face. Well, anyhow, while I was there getting off on all the neat inks and papers, I came across the most beautiful handmade papers I have ever seen. Some in shades of deep rose with pressed rose petals, burgundies, and the most evocative hues of teal and aqua...and I had a brilliant idea (yikes)....will buy some of this FABULOUS paper, on which to write a significant poem or quote in old English calligraphy, using a fountain pen and gold ink. Then to rag the edges and mount the finished product on a creamy parchment or high rag content paper cut to greeting card size. I always feel like a kid in a candy store when shopping for art supplies! Can hardly wait to get started!

I feel good today, haven't finished any paintings lately, but took one in to the framers for the shows coming up in October. Still trying to get my act together after being diagnosed.
