Eating perfectly all day then at night we just cant stop eating. One trip after another until I get my High on. I am tempted to blame it on the act of watching TV. What do you think?

If the medical community wants to talk about weight issues, they should make compulsive overeating a priority. I believe more people probably deal with this issue than all the other eating disorders combined. It needs to be taken out of the closet and discussed.

Hello.....as I suffer from this disorder myself, thought I would drop by. I want to know why this particular eatting disorder does not get the "press" that other eatting disorders get. Try to find counseling. I found someone, and liked her, but she has more experience with anorexia.

Glad to have found the group. I have been a compulsive overeater for what seems like all my life. I truly understand now how my alcoholic ex used to feel when I nagged him to "just stop" his drinking.

Dena, I share the same problem with overeating. I struggle with this only in the evenings, after 8pm.Like you,I go into a carb frinzy. Can't seem to have enough. If you would like try checking OA.com and Indicate you city or zip code. Maybe this will generate some leads. Good luck,Pete

I struggle with overeating so much. Choosing the wrong foods...more carbs please. Have been looking for an OA meeting. I've gone to two so far but apparently they no longer exist. No one at either. Thanks for your comment Kathy. It has given me hope. Am planning a trip 30 miles to another supposed meeting tomorrow. Hope it still exists. Will let everyone know how it goes.

Hi everyone. I'm very new to this site, but thought I'd jump on in. I actually am a member of Overeaters Anonymous, lost 130 pounds at last check in and have been abstinent from compulsive overeater for 3 years. That being said, I have struggled with my blood sugars of late. I finally just gave it over to God and asked for His help. I've had the willingness and now my numbers are completely normal. I have been weighing and measuring my food, exercising everyday and working a recovery program in OA. Glad to be here.
