Hi Sharon! Congratulations on becoming a mom!! Yay too with the breastfeeding - that is awesome! I have my five kids (ages stated below) and I nursed them all for a minimum of 2 years (2 times I nursed through the following pregnancy!). Also my teen daughter is having a baby very soon so I get to go through babyhood again with her. Lack of sleep is hard but it sounds like you're doing a great job! Remember to drink lots of water and nursing always burned through the carbs for me - take care and welcome to the group and I am wishing you some peaceful sleep in your future! :)

Hi
My name is Sharon, I just had our first child 6 months ago and am still exclusively breastfeeding her, about to start solids soon-yay! Being a diabetic mum is fun but I feel like I'm struggling with fatigue a lot, not sure if it's the bfing along with sleep deprevation. Do any of you moms find things more draining with diabetes? Or maybe every mum struggles with the same level of fatigue. I'm enjoying every minute mommyhood however!

Hi Moms! Thank you Priscilla for starting this group! I think it's a great idea! I just wanted to introduce myself and maybe more threads will start? I have 5 kids, none diabetic - although I worry about this too - I see the past thread. My oldest is 19, he lives at home and just finished up his first year of tech college. My next is 15, my oldest daughter. Next is my 13 yr. old son, then my 10 year old daughter and my youngest son is 6. I am happy it's Memorial Day because here in WI it now seems like summer! :) I homeschooled 3 of my kids this year and am happy for sunny days just to hang out and swim. I hope all the moms in this group are doing well and I hope to get to know you all. Happy beginning of summer!
