I took my three-year-old to the dentist this morning, he was scheduled for major dental surgery, and I started to feel funny. Yawning, I was yawning alot, does anyone else ywan when your blood sugar is dropping? Anywa, as my baby is being prepped for surgery, breathing in the Demerol (sp?), I had to leave the room to test my blood. 45. nice. God I was pissed! Not now! My child needs me and I am drinking juices boxes, 2 juices boxes, and 15 minutes later, I had to leave the room again and ask the nurse for help. I was out of sugar and still low. By 10am I'd had 3 juice boxes and a half a Coke. I haven't had a Coke since high school! The whole time I was thinking, you know, my child needs me and can barely see straight. Dammit Diabetes.

Funny you should mention yawning - the only time I've had to call the ambulance for my husband is when I woke up to his yawning repeatedly in his sleep. Wacky!
isn't that odd? I've just started noticing that in myself over the last year......better than shaky hands, that's what I used to get when I was younger.
Hello Amy:

You're ok. and so is he.... put this demon to bed. Would you have been that kind of upset without the low? If so honestly what could you have done for him? You are not an anesthestist/anesthanist nurse are you? Not an MD, all we can do is love them, and never let them know how much we were afraid...

Hows he doing now???
