Makes me want to form a list of the similarities and differences between coping with diabetes (either type i guess, although i too am type I) and with AD/hD.
I was diagnosed with Diabetes as a child, but it wasn't until i was an adult that i realized i also have AD/hD and began looking at different ways of coping more effectively with it.
Comment by tjproko on March 18, 2012 at 3:42am Type 1 daibetes, is an anxiety producing state of being. So is ADHD. What is worse, is that there are are18 million undiagnosed adults with ADHD, that do not know it, and are still battling the unknowns or misunderstandings of others, only because they came from a time when this was never considered. Lazy , stupid, slow, off the wall, etc was the catch phrase. Speed brains withouf filters or boundaries would have been a more positive input.
Consequently, high divorce rates, depression, and a host of other disorders are sometimes approached, and even then, the undiagnosed ADD/HD is never really brought out into the light.
