Weather and Blood Sugar
Anyone experience messed up blood sugars when the weather is really hot or really cold?
Every time I go outside in the high heat/humidity, my blood sugars want to triple from a fasting number, and won't go back down unless I take insulin and sit in the air conditioning.
I feel like a prisoner in my own home when the weather is bad.

Yes, summertime high temperatures can be a stress on your body, so the "flight or fight" response kicks in and the liver dumps glycogen into the bloodstream to "save" your life... from an attacking saber-tooth tiger (or whatever)
No real way to avoid it I suppose, except to think about high temps when going out and keeping calm and collected.... -
