Hi all...I used to be in denial but ...as with most, my Doc told me there comes a time you either take charge or suffer the consequences. After being in denial and not treating for over a year, I became convinced it was time to take charge. A nurse I respect dearly, asked me " Well do you want to keep your leg?" I said ummm yeah. She repled "you need to go to a hospital now". That was it for me.

SO anyway, here to say hi. Look forward to hearing from you all.

In denial? who me? I was, and think(hope) I'm coming out of it, but i just found myself searching for a group of "southern cooks"... LOL. Maybe I need a therapist! I'm sort of in the same boat as you, April... sometimes I just don't care. I eat chips (my downfall) and every one I put in my mouth I think "this is going to make my BG skyrocket", just don't have the self control. I'm NOT insulin-dependent, or I'd be dead, I guess.
