CASTING CALL: PEOPLE WITH DIABETES in LOS ANGELES

The Diabetes Hands Foundation is up to it again this year, gearing up to bring you the Big Blue Test even bigger than before!

In preparation, DHF is creating a video to explain and inspire individuals like you to help others while helping yourself! We are looking for volunteers to become members of the cast! We will be filming in LA the last weekend of September.

If you have type-1 or type-2 diabetes or are family and friends of someone with diabetes, you may be a great asset to the team! We are looking for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. All you need to do is send a little information our way with a photo and we will get back to you right away.

HAS ANYONE SEEN THE CASTING CALL FOR THE 2011 BIG BLUE TEST VIDEO? YES, THEY ARE LOOKING FOR LA DIABETICS!!! DEADLINE TO SUBMIT IS THIS COMING THURSDAY, SEPT. 15. Wow, I have been missing so much action! That's what happens when one has to keep finding a job.. Will start paying more attention here again... yes, Christalyn it would be nice to get together on Nov. 14, Monday. In October we can begin planning it... I lost my cell phone with your number on it, though.

Hey folks this is early.
Does anybody want to get together and plan an event for November 14--World Diabetes Day?

I think it would be cool to get together in a central location and check ourselves or what ever.

June 25th at 11am there will be a T1 meetup at the Manhattan Beach 4th Street volleyball courts. Come out with the family and enjoy some beautiful SoCal weather and get to network with T1s and their family and friends.

If you have a volleyball, please bring it.

For those who want to go bike riding, I'm setting up a preride at 7:30am to meet at the same spot and then head north to Santa Monica and then back down as part of my training for the JDRF Ride to Cure.
