Just wondering if there's anyone out there in "Tu ville" that is living in Quebec.

Un peu d'Québec! Aux environs de Rimouski!

Eh là!!! Ma tourtière, cette année, sera pour le Nouvel An....for New Year's day!! For Christmas...pour Noël, c'est un cipâte cette année. Cipâte, yet another meat pastry, is a very deep meat "pie", using a turkey roaster as the pie dish. It's a blend of dif. meats (turkey, pork, beef, rabbit or goose, layered with potatoes and pastry or dumplings and topped with a pie pastry) grand-maman used to make it :)
Also, cretons to spread on a chunk of baguette for hors d'oeuvres....with a glass of white! Discretionary portions of course....avec plusieurs cantiques de Noël (Christmas carols are a must!!).

So what is your favourite dish to cook up for the holiday crowd? Tourtiere (this is French-Canadian Meat Pie to those of you peaking into this group). I have a friend who just made up one with deer - I sort of invited myself to sample it - so far ... she's said NOTHING!!!

Now I'm hankering for a slice of Maple Syrup Pie ... darn ... so bolus worthy !!!!

Hey B - I just accepted your friendship request. I don't get online here too often - but if you want to share as moderator of this page (not sure if we can do that - I do in FB groups I run with others) - maybe you want to help make this a happening place!!!
