Robert DeNiro stars in this dark Mafia dramady about a family on the run from the mob. His family is ex-mafia and he turned stoolie putting his family, wife Michelle Phiffer, teenage son and daughter and the family dog in hiding with the witness protection program. Tommy Lee Jones is the agent in charge of keeping them safe and low key. This is not an easy task. Especially when the entire family run far from the innocent life.
The plot starts off with a dark comedic style and later blends in to a drama as the mafia closes in on their current location. I loved this film. It was funny, serious and plenty of action to keep me on the edge of my seat wondering how or if they even have a chance at getting out of this mess. It was senior day at the movies today and the place was pretty busy. Who doesn't want to see DeNiro getting back to his mafia film roots. I won't give away much of the plot just because it is a fun journey to take without knowing too much.
I am going with 4 out of 5 strips. Loved it and had a great time.
