Dear Beth. Thank you so much for posting and sharing your heart. I want you to know, you are NOT hurting them by Homeschooling, by NO MEANS! I just peeked at your page - WOW! They are beautiful children. You are, on the contrary, helping them! You stay encouraged and keep up the good work. Those curriculums are all sound and very good. As far as "catching up" don't go too fast and stress your son out. One day at a time, here a little, there a little. You will see progress.
How long have you been schooling at home??? Do you have any homeschool groups that you are involved in? Have you ever heard of HSLDA?? (www.hslda.org)? You can do it Beth, hang in there!

Hi I have two kids with diabetes. Richard was 4 years old when he was diagnosed he is now 15 he also has ADHD and Heather was 8 years old when she was diagnosed she is now 12. I fought with the schools for years. We moved form cali to South Dakota the schools there are very abusive to kids with needs so my son learned nothing in 6th grade so we moved to New York again schools here are abusive my son just shuts down when the teachers are being mean to him so 2 years with no learning so now I'm homeschooling trying to get him to his grade level. Sometimes I feel like I'm hurting them by homeschooling them we are doing the Alpha Omega Publications Switched on schoolhouse and my son is doing very well my Daughter is also doing very well.
