We're managing. We are just taking it one blood glucose check at a time. He has an appointment with a psychologist that has Type 1 because he has had some difficulties with anxiety (he's very needle phobic) but he is amazing!

Hi Mindi, I have 2 kids with T1 too. Like you, my first was in severe DKA and she was 5 years old. My second one was 2 1/2 years old and I caught her when her BG was 189. I'm glad you caught your older son early too but terribly sorry that D has struck again. How are you and he holding up with this diagnosis?

Hi, I'm Mindi. My oldest son, 14, was just diagnosed 3/3/15. I caught it early because his brother was diagnosed at 8yo on 12/28/13 in severe DKA. Having two has been quite a challenge. I look forward to getting to know everyone.

You must be simply heart broken. I'm so sorry this has happened again in your family. It's just not fair. My kids were diagnosed at age 5 ( in full DKA) and then the youngest one at age 2.5. I understand what you are going through. Please do share his story.

Hi Guys. I never thought I would have to join this group. My 8 year old son was diagnosed on March 6, 2010 and this Tuesday my 5 year old son was diagnosed. I will be blogging about his journey.
