70-140 Range 11/14/2010

I had friends and family over and went a little crazy. I'm human! Does it look more like the Himalayas or Rocky Mountains? Hmm..

Post your not so flatline (low and high peaks) like photo's within this discussion. I personally like to show photo's like the above because my life (even though it may seem to some) is not always 104 mg/dl 24/7. I'm trying to learn from these trends/photo's too. What did I do wrong?

Stiff peaks with low valleys... Id give it a Himalayas for sure! What a day that must have been! =^) The best part is the reading when the photo was taken. After all that 104. Well done!
Been there, done that... =)
Here's one from last night. I have no explanation why, but I tested at 2:00 and was at 108. From that time on, my BG began a steady rise and actually peaked at 183 at 5:00 this morning. I took a correction bolus that I thought would take a couple of hours to kick in, but my BG just plummeted to 54 in less than an hour, just in time for breakfast, which is the smaller peak that follows,

Thats crazy. I wonder what he cause was. I woke up last night at 5AM with my wife saying your beeping. I got up. I was 58. I slept right down to 58. Lucky the Dex works so well, its done that twice now. No Idea about the drop other than that Im becoming more insulin sensitive.
The graph starts at around 12:00 am this morning Danny. The Dex is reading a bit low. I went to bed at 110, no snack, at 11:00 pm. I woke up to check my BG at 2:00 am and it was 108. Again, I went back sleep without any correction. I woke up this morning at 5 and saw this trend on my Dex, so it looks like my BG was rising steadily from 2:00 am to 5:00. It actually peaked at 183 this morning before I corrected.

I did change pods at 4:00 pm yesterday, but I had dinner at 6:00 pm and got through most of the evening without any spikes or peaks at all.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe the pizza I had spiked later, but 7 hours later? It's never done that before.
Glad to do it Danny, thanks for setting up this group. I'm looking forward to seeing all the stories. I've had a good run for the last couple of weeks, I get some crazy Himalayas which will be fun to post.

The TAG group is a great resource!! I just got my pump so I'm still working through TAG calculations. I have been eating the same protein rich meal every Friday night for a month trying to work through my own TAG calculations. It gets a bit better each time.
I wouldn't doubt it. Looks like it might be time for another basal adjustment my friend. =)

Yeah, no idea about my BG profile last night. I'v never seen anything like that since I dialed in my own basal rates for the pod. It's just been minor adjustments since then. I had a typical weekend, probably indulged even less than usual.

I hope it's just a one time thing.
Your my contrary to Bernstein, well controlled example! Im sure its just a fluke. Heck, isnt D just a fluke? =^)
Thanks!

Sure, so's winning the lottery. We pulled the D ticket instead. =P
What a great idea! Lets start a lotto pool for PWD! Just pick your state.

HAHAHAhaha, I get that all the time.  "Dear, get up, you are beeping".  I usually don't hear it because the pump fell out of my pocket and is behind me.  So 55 minutes later (my bghigh snooze setting) or 10 minutes later (my bglow snooze setting) I hear it again.  "TURN THAT THING OFF!"  haha.

You sure that isnt a stock ticker from 2008?

I know what you mean, Today I double dipped into the low 50s. Still your crash there takes the cake. =^)
