FLATLINERS CLUB

A club to share your successful and not so successful trends (graphs) from your CGM or Glucose Meters....

Members: 193
Latest Activity: Apr 29

The most elite Diabetes club on the net ;)

Below you will find FIVE different discussions to chose from to post your trends (Please do not post them on the main page)....

1. Flatline 12-24 hours (trends that you are proud to share).

2. Flatline 1-11 hours (trends that you are proud to share)

3. Rocky Mountains (low and high blood sugar peaks).- Days where we have very low blood sugars and the highest of high blood sugar peaks.

4. Rollercoaster- "lines that aren't flatlines, but aren't exactly Himalayas/Rocky mountains either" this is the in between area

5. What in the World? This is the area for those things that just are'nt right with your CgM trends.

Post your trends, don't be bashful. There's not many things better in a diabetics life than discussing glucose trends (good or bad) with other diabetics. Remember, the bottom line is this group is for support, not in anyway a competition.

Rollercoasters

So, there has to be a category for lines that aren't flatlines, but aren't exactly Himalayas either. I thought, maybe, Appalachians, but I'm not sure if I'm even spelling the word correctly. How about just, 'Rollecoasters". Here's my attempt to…Continue

This is the area for those things that just are'nt right. For instance from yesterday to today my Dexcom sensor has been off. If I fingerstick 100 the Dex says 180, if Im 150 the Dex says 260! So, the PG expression is "what in the world?" Normally,…Continue

I see the mysterious Dave was in that thread with his posts missing. I thought the Bernstein people would speak up and have longer running stretches. Was that before you started the TAG group?

Protein only breakfast and 2U bolus instead of 3U to prepare for root canal.  Blood sugar rose to 160 and I needed 2 corrections to prevent it from going higher.  Drilling started at 8:45AM and out of dentist office by 10:30AM.  protein only lunch at 11:30AM and several correction boluses.  It's almost impossible to keep a flat line when worrying about and then having a root canal.

So the "proverb" on my tea bag reads "When the mind is backed by will, miracles happen." This seemed to be the most appropriate place to share :) Here's to a flat day!

Wow Natalie, thats awesome! I told my wife, when I lost two belt loops, Im not getting skinnier, my weights just shifting!

As Moof said, if your dumping keytones from low carb, your insulin needs will greatly reduce. Congrats on the weight loss!

I just had my first (mild) low in quite a while. It was 60 on my meter, and I kinda sorta felt it -- enough to go test. I think reduced carb makes you more tolerant to lower BGs. And I think my insulin requirements are going down as I lose weight -- down to 138 on my scale for BMI 24.0. I'm thinking I might need to notch down my basal, but don't know when to start or stop. Or I might have bolused too much for the cup of milk tea I had 2 1/2 hours before!

Not a bit. That's one of the ways I know when my sensor is dead. That plus the ISIG are pretty truthful!

I'm still here too! I have some expired sensors. They expired January 1. I think I will try one this week. I may start it after my gym session tomorrow, since twisting my body every which way does move that wire. Would you be surprised if I got a flatline from an expired sensor?

I am truly thankful to be one of the 90...
