FLATLINERS CLUB

A club to share your successful and not so successful trends (graphs) from your CGM or Glucose Meters....

Members: 193
Latest Activity: Apr 29

The most elite Diabetes club on the net ;)

Below you will find FIVE different discussions to chose from to post your trends (Please do not post them on the main page)....

1. Flatline 12-24 hours (trends that you are proud to share).

2. Flatline 1-11 hours (trends that you are proud to share)

3. Rocky Mountains (low and high blood sugar peaks).- Days where we have very low blood sugars and the highest of high blood sugar peaks.

4. Rollercoaster- "lines that aren't flatlines, but aren't exactly Himalayas/Rocky mountains either" this is the in between area

5. What in the World? This is the area for those things that just are'nt right with your CgM trends.

Post your trends, don't be bashful. There's not many things better in a diabetics life than discussing glucose trends (good or bad) with other diabetics. Remember, the bottom line is this group is for support, not in anyway a competition.

Rollercoasters

So, there has to be a category for lines that aren't flatlines, but aren't exactly Himalayas either. I thought, maybe, Appalachians, but I'm not sure if I'm even spelling the word correctly. How about just, 'Rollecoasters". Here's my attempt to…Continue

What in the world??

Started by onesaint. Last reply by jrtpup Nov 27, 2011. 148 Replies

This is the area for those things that just are'nt right. For instance from yesterday to today my Dexcom sensor has been off. If I fingerstick 100 the Dex says 180, if Im 150 the Dex says 260! So, the PG expression is "what in the world?" Normally,…Continue

I have a Dex now, and yeah, I have adhesive issues, too. But I REALLY like it, because it's a lot more accurate for me than the old MM was, especially at catching lows. I'm using IV3000 to keep it down -- have never tried Flexifix. I do know that I'm allergic to Tegaderm, so I'm a little hesitant to try another adhesive. But using extra tape is SO worth it if the monitor is accurate! :-) And how's the little one, Kate?

I've got to say that I've been impressed with the g4. It seems like it is accurate for me from day 1. The old 7+ took at least 1 day to settle and give good number. The down side of the g4 is that the adhesive will NOT stick to me! I need flexifix starting day 1!

I would do some more but seem to be having a lot of numbers where the CGM is reading off. I think they are metering ok, although I don't have a cable to d/l my meter so I've been blowing it off since that last one. That was about when things started getting weird, maybe an off box of sensors or something. I can hear the doc trying to sell me a Dexcom already...

Thanks, nel! Life is great right now...and busy! But that just means that finding the time I had 2 years ago to babysit diabetes is significantly less :)

Well done both of you! I "resolved" to post more this year. Well - that's been a bust. I got my A1C results today and was a 6 (yea!!!) but I have no idea how. I feel like I am ping-ponging all over and can't figure out a trend. So starting tonight we're tackling the overnight basals and will work from there.

Nice job! That's pretty freaking flat!

I will use anywhere that's below my rib cage and have had pretty nifty results going around in the back, kind of over my hipbones a bit.

I am using an area for insulin delivery , never ever used before on my body ( 30 years on insulin ) hence the all
anew learning process ...below my breast well above the waist , into the meaty area away from the rib cage .I mentioned my experiment to Pump Nurse , who reminded me to be away from rib cage and said : " what ever works "
