I'm moving to Orlando in the next month. I'll have to find a endocrinologist who treats type 1 diabetics on pumps. If anyone has a suggestion, I'd appreciate it. Any other advice about living in Florida with type 1 is appreciated too.
Hi Cynthia. I live in Weston, west of Ft Ladeda now but will likely be moving north of Orlando in the next year or so. I will be glad to see the recommended endos, myself. From where will you be moving? The weather in Orlando should be pretty wonderful in the winter but be prepared for some hot summers.
I've had two recommendations for Dr Sohail Ali, so far. I'll be working for the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. I haven't decided yet where I'll live If there are any recommendations for realtors, I could use that too.
For anyone still looking for good Endos in Orlando area I now see Dr. Tanton. He has a satelite office in Sandlake and his big clinic is located in Celebration which I now drive to. He has everything you can think of including another NP with him and Diabetic educators. Their office got me a new pump and the continuous monitor within 2 wks of seeing him. I now go weekly for the Diabetic educator to regulate my way out of control diabetes and I could not praise this team more. They are wonderful.
