Compatibility mode seldom/never works with D apps.. A lot of apps have installers that are hard coded for XP, and wont install/work right.. Or the driver for the data cable/RF/etc doesnt work .. This still sometimes happens in a virtual machine. but Iv been able to get "most" devices to work in the VM... Also theres GNU Gluco Control for Linux (but the data connectivity is separate from the app)

Blame the FDA for this mess. thats partially why you wont see an "official" linux app for any of these devices, and there havent been any devices with native windows 7 support... but many will work "at your own risk"

It should work with Win7. Isn't there a compatibility mode? From what I read, Win7 is supposed to have backward compatibility with programs that can run only in XP.

Have you check with Microsoft help site?

As a last resort, you could try using a virtual machine running XP in it.

The needle case is from BD the number is 1-888-232-2737, the glucose keyring is from QuickFix, I sent them an email and they sent me one free (they stated that they do not usually give out free, but since I sent them a email they sent me one).  The Contour USB meter is free from Bayer or you can print out the coupon for 20.00 dollars and take to Walgreens they are on sale until January 01, 2011 for 9.99.
