haha, we're SUPPOSED to change it out every time we test. I don't think I know one person who actually does that.
Are we really supposed to change it every time we test?!!
I do.
Check out this discussion :)

Like Trisha said, most people DON't change the lancet each time!
Nice discussion! Thanks for sharing Kristin :)
We probably should change it every time we test, but like everyone (almost) is saying, that doesn't happen. I change mine once a day. I test 3 times a day and put a new one in at bedtime, after my last test. Then I have a new one ready in the morning. Sometimes, when they don't seem to give me a good poke, I change more often. They probably lose their real sharpness after more than 3 or 4 uses, so it's just less painful to have a good, sharp new one!
I work on a seasonal basis with my lancet changes, and I tend to switch lances more-or-less every solstice or equinox that rolls around. :)

You are so right, Sam! I very seldom use mine more than once. I only use it more than once if I can't get enough blood the first time I poke.

I check my bs 3-4 times a day and I use a new lancet every time. They get dull like the syringe if used more than once. It is also more sanitary that way.

I find using the drums im more inclined to go.Hmm a fresh lancets just a twist away, no having to try to extract it out of the springy plastic thing and having to worry about poking yourself... Do you find your more inclined to change lancets because its that much more simpler/less time consuming with the multiclix?
