today i had my one week post-op with my gastric bypass doctor. while i still have to drink the protein drink i have also been graduated up to pureed foods. yummy!!!! not only do i have to puree it, but then i have to strain it. so when i got home i made up some tomato soup and planned on pureeing some chicken. low and behold i found out i don't have anything to strain my pureed food with. so tomorrow it's off to the store to do some grocery shopping and i will pick up a strainer as well. i'm only on the pureed food for a week and then i step up to soft foods.
dr.posner told me that everything was looking good. he said the rash that i had developed was due to the stuff that they paint on to hold down the tape strips for a couple of weeks. once he washed all of that off with alcohol the itching stopped. he said he wished his surgical team was there so they could see what happens when they put it on too think. sounds like someone's in trouble to me. i still have to keep an eye on all of it in case of secondary infection but i feel great.
i go back on the 18th of june and we will see how things are then.
