TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Anyone know of any apps being developed for the iPhone? I just switched from a Treo 650, and am missing my CalorieKing carb database, among other things.

I know with the SDK release that we are likely to see some cool things in June, but am wondering if anyone has learned about any diabetes-specific apps.

Nothing here yet that I know of, but I was just thinking the same thing. I made the exact same switch a little over a month ago. Really happy with the iPhone so far. Wonder if the guys at SugarStats.com are looking at the iPhone?

Hey guys,
what would you be looking for?

I ask out of a professional curiosity, as the founder of SweetSpot. I've been playing around with the sdk a bit and have a few ideas (to say the least; the sdk is awesome), but I would love to hear what you would like to see.

thanks!

- Have a place to enter blood glucose readings, and allow users to enter in older blood glucose data. Allow them to use both unit sets (mg/dL , mmol/l)
- Allow people to enter medications, including quantities and times they are taken.
- Provide calculations of 7, 14 and 28 day blood glucose averages.
- Place to record A1C.
- In food search, allow users to tag items which have 15 or less grams of carbohydrates. Also, allow people to see carbs as the first nutritional information field.

Hi !
I am little more demanding... I would like to have time(date), BG, insulin, OH (with food database, at least USDA one, and if there would be user_db option that would be nice (changeablke by user). PC application to add to database and to have data stored on computer as well as iPhone.... Actually I am looking for such application for my PocketPC too...

Hey all,

This app was released for the iPhone on July 17th, 2008:

Glucose-Charter(tm), v1.0.

There are 10 reviews at this point, giving it 4 out of 5 stars. It cost 4.99. I haven't downloaded it yet, although I'm on the verge. Has anyone tried it yet?

Apparently there are a few bugs, including not having a place to enter insulin amount, or the ability to adjust time/date stamps.

I am a mac user and I just haven't found any program that will really work for me and my life style. I spend quite a few minutes every few days writing everything down by hand, slowly scrolling back through my histories. It sucks, actually. I use a Minimed paradigm 522 pump.

In response to Adam's question - there needs to be a place for notes (stress, exercise, illness) and it would be cool to have a pattern/graph option.

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know I've developed an app for the iPhone/iPod Touch.

Islet 2.0 allows entry of glucose, insulin, food, and exercise data. Backdating is possible. You can email comma-separated lists to export the data. Graph all types of data - view high, average, and low data on an hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Export full-size graphs. $2.99 on the App Store - http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=2...

I am actively developing this app still and would love to hear some feedback! You can find more information and screenshots here: http://www.iabetics.com

Thanks,

-Mike
