TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Hi all,

I am a recently diagnosed type 2 who has experience in design and development using VB.NET, C#, and MS SQL databases. I do mostly web, web services (XML), and windows services backend work, so if you are in need of layout, forget about it. I don't have the eyes for it. If you need help with the guts, please feel free to ask.

Thanks,
jax

Andy,

Funny you should mention Java. It is on my near-term list of things to learn. I am just getting set up with software etc. this week. I won't be ready to work on anything until late June due to my schedule, but let me know what you have in mind.

Thanks,
jax

Andy,
I'm an experienced Java developer; in fact, I'm also somewhat of an Eclipse "guru." I'll take a quick look at your SourceForge project, but feel free to contact me directly: eric "at" rizzoweb . "kom"

Hi !

Any help is appreciated... If you are starting with java I advise to use Eclipse as development environment, for now this is the best... If you need literature Thinking in Java is best for people that already know how to write software (its not written on such basic level as most newbie books) and it's free...

So when you are ready visit http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/ggc and download sources and you start... On what we can determine then... There is a lot to do but so little time... ::grin::

Hi Andy,

Downloaded J2EE already and getting Eclipse tonight. I am a Visual Studio developer, so hopefully getting started on Java apps is not too big a deal.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks,
jax

You might have problem with Graphical editor, because most of Java Editors don't have one... Eclipse has it, but you have to install it separatelly... which I haven't managed yet (I tried but failed)

I don''t have work for you now, but I may be able to hook you up. Do you have a web site where I can see your work. Or cleints? Or a LinkedIn page?

Hi Craig

Thanks for the reply. At the moment I am backed up, but thanks. Between the full-time gig and two side projects, I am out of time.
